Frequently Asked Questions, FAQs – Flights, Airlines

Q1. How much luggage is allowed on my Flight? What is the size of the carry-on and check-in bags?

Answer- Domestic Flight: Travel within the USA, Canada, and Puerto Rico, most airlines allow One Carry-on Bag which you can put in the overhead bin, and One Personal- Item such as Laptop Bag, Lady Purse, Bag pack, etc in Coach/Economy Class. However, recently there have been some changes in the baggage allowance by the Airlines by introducing Basic Economy fares wherein Carryon bags are chargeable. Also, a few Low-cost Airlines such as Spirit Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and Allegiant Air charge for a regular-size Carry-on Bag. While Southwest Airlines provides One Carry-on, Two Check-in Bags, and a personal Item absolutely free. The size limit for a carry-on bag is 9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches (22 cm x 35 cm x 56 cm), including handles and wheels. We always advise our Passengers to check the most updated Baggage allowance with their respective Airlines to avoid extra charges and penalties.

International Flight: Almost all Airlines allow One Check-in Bag, One Carry-on, and One personal Item for each person. However, there might be some exceptions also depending upon the route and the carrier that you fly with, so never forget to check your Baggage allowance on your Flight with the airlines or your travel agency. The standard size checked-in Bag should not be more than 62 linear inches or 27 inches x 21 inches x 14 inches.
